ZOO Lights and Po-Po's

My sweet brother Brody was nice eonough to plan a little double date with him and his beautiful girlfriend Nicole, and also my cousin Cory and his wife Jenna. We went down in the 20 degree weather to the Zoo to look at all the lights. I was a little surprised to not see as many animals as I thought. I don't blame them for not wanting the animals to get cold.. but seriously.. we saw like 4. But we still had a blast walking around and burning our tongues on hot chocolate we couldn't help but drink. It got so cold that we were running post to post where they had tall heater things that you could barely feel the fire. Oh well, what do you do. After we got done at the zoo we headed down and ate at the Macaroni Grill.. I love that place. It was a riot! Of course when you get Nathan, Brody, and Cory together they are funny as heck.. I was laughing so hard all night it made my stomach hurt. I love it when that happens. But the funniest part was when we were driving home. We all had about 10 layers on because it was so cold outside so we had the heat cranked up in the car. Brody was driving and decided he was too hot and started to take off his coat.. about 2 minutes later.. not exaggerating.. 3 cops pull up behind us and turn on their lights. We were just thinking that maybe he sped up a little when he pulled off his coat.. no big deal.. Well, then 2 cops..one on each side of the car.. hold up their flashlights to the car, make us roll down all of our windows and put our hands on the front of the seats where they could see them. They then took his license and registration and crap and a couple minutes later they came back to the car and made Brody get out.. A couple more minutes went by and Brody came back laughing.. I guess they had 3 calls about a suburban drunk driving.. What? Yep.. thats us.. It was awesome..

O Christmas Tree

Here is a picture of our beautiful christmas tree this year.. yes, that is climbing rope we used as tinsel and there is Santa climbing up our tree.. He is new to our family this year. And there is Ernie.. What a cute dog..

My New Nativity..and my crazy Fam..

Ok so I got it last year for Christmas but this is the first year I got to put it up so Im super excited! And also, its a little late but my family has a tradition of jumping in the pool on Thanksgiving day. So here is the pic. We didn't wimp out but Nathan had just injured his foot and I had the stomach flu so we skipped jumping in this year.. There was still ice in the pool.. and we tested it at 35 or 36 degrees I think.. Crazy Kids..

This post is to apologize for the last post that aparently seemed a little more explicit than I intended. Blogging life is a little bit of a challenge, because obviously, sometimes you write things that are meant to be read one way, but when someone else reads it they think of something else. So I apologize to any of you that I offended in writing it and I mostly apologize to Nathan for having to put up with all the crap that became of it. I promise to be more careful when I blog.
P. S. This is all meant to be read in a happy, sincere, innocent tone of voice. :)

10 things I know for sure..

1.. Working 26 days in a row is not good for you.. Or for your wife..
2.. Christmas will be over and done with before we know it.. sad.
3.. Shopping the day after Thanksgiving is the coolest thing ever!
4.. The Plan of Salvation rocks.. ( I am the temple prep teacher.. fyi)
5.. I need a vacation..
6.. Family is the coolest thing ever.. Heavenly Father knew we couldn't make it without them..
7.. Did I already mention having your husband work 26 days in a row sucks?..
8.. It is useless to bath your dog.. they just stink all the time..
9.. Everyday I become more like my mom.. and I LOVE it.. (my siblings call me "Mi-mo") get it.. Mini Mom?
10.. Money is a lot easier to spend than it is to make.. Lame.

Why I love my Husband..

For some strange and unexplainable reason, life has seemed absolutely crazy lately. Work life, family life, home life, church life.. it has all been amazing but at the same time crazy.. but in all the mess there has been only one guy that has helped me make it through. And that is my husband. I would not be able to wake up in the morning and be glad to be where I am at without him.. He is the strongest, most positive, most supporting, most handsome-est, most enthusiastic, most loving person I have ever met in my life. For anyone that knows Nathan, knows that he will never give up. It doesn't matter what he is working on. He will NEVER give up.. As many as you know he injured his ankle while rock climbing. He hurt it to a point that he was in crutches for a couple days, we were looking at the option of surgery, and he has been wearing a boot around for the last couple weeks. But do you think that stopped him?? Not a chance. Not even an injured foot stopped him from going to work and being happy about it.. We were also able to participate in one of our favorite past times.. cutting up cows. Nathan is an example to me to look at the good things in life. I was recently given a new calling at church and to be completely honest I was scared out of my mind. I cried for days because I didn't know how I was going to be able to handle it. Nathan was there and is still there to help me with all my lessons and to make sure that I know everything I can about the gospel. I love him so much and I don't know what I would do without him.. I am so blessed to have met him and somehow talked him into marrying me. I love you Nathan so much! Thank you for everything! 143

Nathan's accident.. Lovely.

I got off work early yesterday just to find out that Nathan had been rock climbing and twisted his ankle. Lovely. He was climbing at the gym and landed funny half on and half off the mat from high up on the wall. Nothing is broken but we will have to take him in for an MRI to see if he needs surgery. Nathan is also lucky enough to be working 70 hours a week for a couple months so he will be on his feet. also Lovely. Pray for him. He will be hurting.

Is this normal?

Seriously.. I came home from work one day and I let Ernie out of his cage.. I was looking for him a little later and this is where I found him..

And its not like he gets in on accident. He can get in and out all by himself..

He jumps in.. chases his tail for a minute.. and jumps out..

I was up at my parents house recently and they decided to load my car up with some of my crap that I have been storing in their shed since I got married and I found a teddy bear with a removable shirt that fit Ernie perfect! Well, almost. What do you think? He could totally be a dog model..

Are we done yet?

Another one Bites the Dust

Yes, its true.. We have pulled one more over to our side.. My friend Haley has recently been married and being the wonderful friends that we are.. failed to give her a shower before she was wed.. So Sage was awesome enough to plan a night out with the girls to celebrate this wonderful occasion! We had so much fun.. we always do.. just laughing and talking and catching up on the excitement going on in each others life! It is so fun to go places with all the girls because there are so many of us.. People look at us like we are crazy.. but maybe we are! And there was even a few people that are missing.. Thanks to my girls for all the good times and for all of your love and support! You guys are the best friends in the world!!

Colorado Trip

Well.. It's Monday.. It's a holiday.. Nathan is at work.. I am sitting at home with absolutely nothing to do.. Awesome.. this is why I choose to work full time.. Anyway.. to update the 3 people that look at my blog, we went to Colorado a couple weeks ago to go see Tiffany and Ryan and we got to hang out with the fam and have an awesome time.. and since we all know that I am not a writer.. I will just post my pics! enjoy!

Ernie Updates..

Here you go Taylor Family.. here are some updates of the little guy.. He is growing like crazy but still can't quite grasp the concept of not peeing in the house.. good thing we are getting new carpet next year.. But we still love him.. He is quite the character..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN!!

So I am a couple days late to say it.. but who is surprised.. not me. Nathan turned 24 on Tuesday and we celebrated by staying home!! yay! I am so boring.. We went out to dinner with all of our friends for a multi-birthday-party shindig for Nathan Morgan and Dallin to Texas roadhouse.. It was so good!! So here are some pics of the wonderful occasion! Our Homemade Rock Wall

So when we were house shopping we both had our own idea of what we wanted in a house... I wanted a washer and dryer, an extra room that we could use for a baby room someday.. a dishwasher.. and Nathan.. well he wanted a rock wall.. So when we bought our house we both got what we wanted.. I got the upstairs extra bedroom and he got the downstairs bedroom to build his wall.. So here it is. He set his mind to it.. got the wood and it was up.. all in a day's work for Nathan. actually it was two.. So here are the pics!

Joe's Valley

A couple weekends ago we decided to finally go on a climbing trip.. We met at Brian and Dana's house and packed the car to the rim and we were on our way!! We had tons of fun and we are going to try to fit another one in before winter so we will see how that goes.. We got some funny looks traveling down the freeway with the crash pads on top of the little car! It was hilarious! Oh ya.. and We used our dutch oven for the first time and it was awesome!! Thanks Jess and Mark.. we will never go camping without it.. I think we ate better camping than we do at home..
(probably because Nathan cooked camping and I cook at home..) Yep. Thats it.

We went to a nearby town one night to see if there was anything to do.. It is such a small town that they did have a theatre but the townspeople said they only opened it when they felt like it.. but this board was right outside the building.. We need to have one of these in Huntsville sometime.. anyone want in?
